Where’s my refund – Iowa?
To check the status of your Iowa state refund online, go to https://www.idr.iowa.gov/wheresmyrefund/GetRefundStatus. In order to view status information, you will be prompted to enter:
- Social Security number
- Tax year

Click on “Get Refund Status” to view your refund status.
If you submitted your return electronically, please allow up to a week for your information to be entered into the system.
The anticipated time frame for refund processing is 30 to 45 days. When your return is complete, you will see the date your refund was issued. Every return is different, so processing times will vary for each person. Iowa Department of Revenue phone representatives only have access to the same information that you see online.
