Why you received IRS Notice CP503
- You did not pay the balance due on a tax return by the due date.
- The IRS sent notices about unpaid taxes you owe, but the IRS never received a response.
Notice deadline: 10 days
If you miss the deadline: Additional penalties and interest will accrue. The IRS may file a Notice of Federal Tax Lien against you. A tax lien can damage your credit or make it difficult for you to get credit.
