H&R Block’s Aileen Wilkins Recognized in 2015 Class of Women Who Mean Business
Aileen Wilkins, H&R Block Chief People Officer, has been recognized for her business influence and philanthropic work. Today she and other honorees were profiled in the Kansas City Business Journal’s 2015 class of Women Who Mean Business and participated in a recognition luncheon at the Overland Park Convention Center.
A panel of judges, including Women Who Mean Business alum, selected this year’s class of 25 from more than 130 area executives and entrepreneurs. They chose the honorees for their accomplishments, plans to grow their companies and community involvement. Wilkins’ volunteerism with women’s issues, education and the homeless, as well as her role leading the people and culture of H&R Block, earned her a name among the 2015 Women Who Mean Business.
“With thousands of tax professionals and offices across the country and a firm commitment to serve our clients, H&R Block’s success relies on Aileen’s leadership with our workforce and culture,” said Bill Cobb, CEO of H&R Block. “Her business accomplishments alone merit recognition, but her passionate work supporting opportunities for other women, improving education and aiding the homeless set her in a class of her own.”
Before joining H&R Block in 2007, Wilkins served in a variety of human resources roles for several companies, including Eli Lilly & Company, NetSales, Gateway, Inc. and Informix Software in Kansas City. Since joining H&R Block, she has worked closely with the company’s retail business as well as the functional leaders and teams.
