Lucky H&R Block client in Washington wins $100,000 grand prize
Taxpayers nationwide won more than $300,000 in daily cash prizes as part of Refund Giveaway
Who doesn’t like a big income tax refund? This tax season, doing taxes was even more rewarding for one taxpayer in Oak Harbor, Wash., who entered and won the $100,000 grand prize in H&R Block’s Refund Giveaway.
An H&R Block At HomeTM online client was the lucky one of more than 1 million who entered the sweepstakes. The big reveal was chronicled through H&R Block’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
The winner was one of a record number of taxpayers, more than 7 million, who chose to file their tax returns with H&R Block At Home software, online and mobile products this tax season.
In addition to the $100,000 grand prize, daily cash prizes also were awarded in the amounts of $50, $100 and $500 every hour, every day of tax season.
